Counselling

People are at the heart of what we do

Real Matters uses a person-centred approach to counselling that focuses on guiding our clients to recognise issues, create solutions and make changes in their own lives.

Our counselling approaches are based on evidence based and current accepted practices. Counsellors with Real Matters are appropriately trained and registered with national counselling associations. As an organisation, we voluntarily adhere to the Code of Ethics as prescribed by the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) Code of Ethics which provide standards of professional conduct for counsellors and the counselling process. We are committed to supporting those in need of help within the scope of our service. We treat all clients with dignity and respect, and value each individual’s worth.

Our counsellors are expected to maintain high standards of care and counselling at all times. We have policies and procedures in place to ensure we meet industry standards and ethical guidelines, including confidentiality and mandatory reporting.
